Who are we?Recognizing a need, American Patriot Defense was founded in early 2021 in response to the continued growth of the firearms community, and the subsequent lack of accessible, affordable education and training that surrounds the industry. Acknowledging their instructor’s extensive life experiences in the field, on the range, and in the classroom; love of teaching; and passion for firearms and safety; American Patriot Defense was established to help fill the void. By providing those educators a platform to impart their knowledge, American Patriot Defense offers introductory, basic, and advanced firearms handling classes; Force on Force (non - firearm); Tactical; and private lessons to their students. American Patriot Defense’s mission is to foster and mentor law abiding citizens to be safe, responsible gun owners in their daily lives, and to provide them with the skills, tools, knowledge, and relevant information necessary to help make the best decisions possible, in difficult or lethal situations.

******Meet our Instructor ******Clint-“If you’re training easy, you’re training to lose. Training must be mentally and physically challenging. This is the only way to prepare for the stress of a fight of your life.”Dwight has always had a passion for firearms and training, and thrives on expanding his education and knowledge of those fields. With an impressive resume that continues to grow, his overall goal is to teach others through his life experiences, lessons learned and to further develop himself as both an instructor and a student of weaponcraft.This Western Kentucky University Graduate served in the Kentucky National Guard from 2007 -2023, and began his civilian law enforcement career in 2014.Retired from the KY National Guard, he brings to the table extensive life-saving and training experience gained from his time with the guard, including two combat deployments to Afghanistan. There he conducted mounted and dismounted security patrols, convoy security, personal security, base security and defensive operations. He has trained thousands of Soldiers and Airmen in the use of defense firearm tactics and techniques prior to their deployments, while being a member of the Small Arms Readiness Training Section (SARTS). In addition to this Dwight was a member of the Kentucky National Guard’s Competition Marksmanship Team where he has achieved multiple 1st place and top rank awards on a national level.Beyond his Military experience he is currently a law enforcement officer and is a Certified Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. In the past he has shot competitively for his agency, achieving 1st and 2nd place awards at the state level. He has also assisted with conducting firearms training and instruction with another exemplary firearms and training agency.Clint is a USPSA competitor and has achieved several performance patches including 555 Reloaded, Silver Back Performance Standard, Technical Methods, and Skynet Drill Patch. Clint is a Sponsored Shooter with Zeroded Ammunition and an Affilat with Chalkless Grip Enhancer, Arrowhead Tactical Apparel, and ACE Virtual Reality
